Once you’ve parked your car, follow the signs to the main church entrance. There’ll be a friendly face to greet you at the door!

What happens at a church service?

Everyone is welcome at Menai Anglican, whether you grew up in church or are still thinking things through. If you’ve never been to church before, or it’s been a while, you might not know what to expect.

At a regular church service, we start by singing songs together, led by the band. You can sing if you like, or just listen in. We’ll listen to a reading of part of the Bible, and then one of the ministers will preach on that passage, looking at what it tells us about God and ourselves. We’ll also have someone lead us in prayer as we listen along and then the service usually ends with another song. All up services usually last about an hour. Afterwards we have tea/coffee and some food in the foyer or outside, which is a great time to meet people and catch up.

What about kids and youth?

We love to have people of all ages at Menai Anglican! On Sundays, we have a fantastic kids program called KidSpace running parallel to the Sunday 10am service which caters for ages 1 – Year 8, run by dedicated and trained leaders. If your kids are new and would like to join in, just let the welcomer know when you arrive and they’ll look after you.

We also have a parents’ lounge available, adjacent to the main church, where parents can take kids for some space and still watch and listen to the service through a large window.

There are lots of other programs running through the week for kids and youth of all ages. Check out the Infinity Kids (babies – Year 8) and MAC Youth (Years 6-12) websites for more information.

What should I wear?

Our church services aren’t formal, so wear whatever clothes you feel comfortable in – what you might wear to a friend’s house or out shopping.

Livestreamed Services

The Saturday 6pm and Sunday 10am services are live-streamed via our YouTube channel and Facebook page. These services are also available to watch later via these platforms. Watching online is a great way to stay connected if you can’t be at church in person, but nothing beats being together face to face so we’d encourage you come along whenever you can.

Our Weekend Church Services

SATURDAY NIGHT CELEBRATION (SNC)

SATURDAY 6PM

A lively and informal service focussed on seeing God’s word speak into our current culture. SNC seeks to be a welcoming community for youth and young adults as well as anyone who enjoys a more contemporary service.

SUNDAY 8AM

A service for those who prefer a more traditional, yet less formal, liturgical service with a mix of well-known hymns and modern songs. The Lord’s Supper is celebrated each week (except the 4th Sunday of the month).

SUNDAY 10AM

A contemporary and refreshing service especially suited for families. Morning tea follows the service.

Our Sunday morning children’s program, KidSpace, welcomes all children from 1 year old – Year 8. Our 10am church service includes kids for the beginning of the service as we join together in singing to Jesus, prayer and a Family Spot (about 15 minutes). After this, parents take kids to the foyer to meet the KidSpace leaders and head off to their program.

Check out the Infinity Kids website for details about the other kids’ programs running throughout the week.

SUNDAY 6PM

A relaxed and reflective service on Sunday nights. A great way to end your weekend and reset for a new week.
