Our church has many weekly ministries that operate all year. Here are some of the unusual or one-off public events in our church calendar.
June Thanksgiving
June 13 - June 28
We continue a tradition at this church of focusing on thanksgiving during June. When the days are colder and shorter, we find more reason to rejoice in what God has done. This year we focus our thanksgiving on who God is. We also seek tangible corporate expressions of our thankfulness to God: food, gifts and prayers.
Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Saviour. (Habakkuk 3:17-18)
We aim to rejoice deeply towards God in every part of our hearts and in the gathering of all God’s people.
