DESCRIPTION:Blue Christmas – Thursday 18th Dec\, 7.30 – 8:30pm\n\n\nA quieter and more reflective Christmas service. For some\, Christmas may be a particularly difficult time of year for many different reasons. This service is an opportunity to reflect on the year that has been\, remember loved ones\, and also thank God for his comfort and great promises. \n“Christmas is supposed to sound like joy. Bells ringing\, laughter rising\, light filling the night. But for many\, this season plays in a minor key. There are empty chairs at the table\, photos that ache to look at\, and memories that stir both gratitude and grief. We smile because others do\, but sometimes behind that smile is a heart quietly breaking. “This child will be opposed… and a sword will pierce your soul too.” What a strange pairing\, joy and pain side by side. But that’s the gospel rhythm: glory through suffering\, resurrection through death\, redemption through the cross. Christmas reminds us that God doesn’t avoid our pain. Bring your picnic rug or outdoor chairs and enjoy a picnic dinner. The sausage sizzle and food trucks will have food available for purchase (cash and card accepted). \nPizza | Mexican | Burgers | Gozleme | Sausage Sizzle| Snocones | Dutch Pancakes | Ice Cream | Drinks | Coffee cart \n6-9pm: Carols\nWe’ll sing some favourite carols together and be entertained by local community groups. Baptism is a public declaration of faith and a celebration of new life in Christ. It’s not about being perfect\, it’s about trusting in Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. \n\nConfirmation \nIf you were baptised as a child but haven’t yet publicly affirmed your faith\, confirmation is for you. DESCRIPTION:If you are married and you are a part of Menai Anglican Church\, I would like to invite you to make an investment. \nSometimes we get our cars serviced and repaired more often than we deliberately work on our marriages. After our relationship with God\, this is the single most important relationship in our lives. Even the best marriages can grow; and there are some really hard seasons of life. The commitment to work on our marriages is key. In my opinion the song that “gets marriage” more than any other is by Casting Crowns\, it calls us to be “broken together”.  \n\nSaturday Morning\, 10th May 2025. \n9am – 12:30pm (and then go out on a date!)\nSpeakers: Steve and Kelly Carlisle\nLocation: Menai Anglican Church\n\nThe aim of the day is to spend time together and to be together as a couple. We are setting up small tables so that each couple has their own space (see the photo below). A great picnic lunch will be provided for each couple and we encourage you to take each out for lunch that day. Lunch together might be as important\, if not more\, than the morning itself. \nThere will be humour\, God’s words and practical wisdom.  None of us is perfect. Those providing input this year are Steve and Kelly Carlisle. Steve is the director of Youthwork’s year 13 and Kelly is a community nurse. Both are members of our 10am congregation.
