SUMMARY:June Thanksgiving
DESCRIPTION:We continue a tradition at this church of focusing on thanksgiving during June. When the days are colder and shorter\, we find more reason to rejoice in what God has done. This year we focus our thanksgiving on who God is. We also seek tangible corporate expressions of our thankfulness to God: food\, gifts and prayers. \n\n                                    Though the fig tree does not bud \n                                                and there are no grapes on the vines\, \n                                    though the olive crop fails \n                                                and the fields produce no food\, \n                                    though there are no sheep in the pen \n                                                and no cattle in the stalls\, \n                                    yet I will rejoice in the LORD\, \n                                                I will be joyful in God my Saviour.    (Habakkuk 3:17-18) \n\nWe aim to rejoice deeply towards God in every part of our hearts and in the gathering of all God’s people.

SUMMARY:Believer’s Baptism and Confirmation
DESCRIPTION:Baptism at Menai Anglican Church \n“Repent and be baptised\, every one of you\, in the name of Jesus Christ.” – Acts 2:38 \nBaptism is a joyful and significant step in the Christian life. At Menai Anglican Church\, we see baptism as a beautiful sign of God’s saving grace and a powerful public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ. \nWe invite you to the following baptism-related opportunities: \nBeliever’s Baptism and Confirmation services 27-28 June \n  \nBaptism \nIf you’ve come to personal faith in Jesus and haven’t been baptised before\, we’d love to talk with you about taking this step. Baptism is a public declaration of faith and a celebration of new life in Christ. It’s not about being perfect\, it’s about trusting in Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. \nConfirmation (Saturday 27th only) \nIf you were baptised as a child but haven’t yet publicly affirmed your faith\, confirmation is for you. In a confirmation service\, you declare your personal trust in Jesus and are prayed for by the bishop and church community.
