There seems to be a taboo around talking about our experiences of loneliness, but why? What does God have to say about loneliness? What is the local church’s response to this problem? And where does our own personal loneliness fit in the equation? Come along to hear how God responds to our loneliness, and how we can help others in theirs.

Margaret Icke is married and has three adult children. Born in Sydney, she has moved to interstate and international locations – at times, saying goodbye, relocating and building new friendships has been a real challenge. Two of her children currently live overseas. Margaret works full time at Menai Anglican Church and graduated from Sydney Missionary & Bible College. She is currently studying part time at Moore Theological College. Margaret has learnt, and continues to learn, how to find real hope in real situations.
